1. Mr. Jonathan Koh, Economist and FX Analyst, Asia, Standard Chartered Bank
– Jonathan provides macroeconomic coverage of Asia, specialising in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. In 2023, he was recognized by The Asset Benchmark Review as “Highly Commended in Research” among Asia’s best local currency bond individuals in Sales, Trading and Research in the Philippines. The Asset Benchmark Review surveyed over 550 institutional fixed-income investors who are active in 10 Asian currency bond markets: China (onshore and offshore), Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in business, specialising in banking and finance, and a Bachelor’s degree in accountancy from Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University.
2. Mr. Emilio “Jun” Neri, Jr., Lead Economist, Bank of the Philippine Islands
– Jun ranked No. 1 among local economists by the Department of Finance as having the most accurate GDP growth projections from 2016 to 2018. In 2019, he was voted as the No. 1 Best Equities Economist and No. 2 Best Fixed Income Economist by the Fund Managers Association of the Philippines. He also ranked No. 1 Best Local Currency Bond Individual for Research in the Asset Benchmark Research Awards 2021. He was a consultant at the Asian Development Bank, was a senior Economics researcher and lecturer on monetary and fiscal economics at the University of Asia and the Pacific, and was formerly the President of the Philippine Economic Society in 2020.
